The Project
A homeowner in Gloucestershire was ready to transform their tired kitchen into a modern space – opting for a beautifully designed
Wren kitchen that combined functionality with contemporary style. Emery Builders Ltd led the full refurbishment, and we were brought in to handle all electrical aspects of the installation.
Our Role
With a brand-new kitchen layout and a range of upgraded appliances and lighting features, this wasn’t just a plug-and-play job. It required a full electrical rework to ensure everything ran safely, efficiently, and in harmony with the new design.

- Rewiring and socket repositioning: We reconfigured the electrical layout to suit the new kitchen plan, carefully placing sockets and switches for ease of use and future flexibility.
- Appliance-ready connections: Dedicated electrical feeds were installed for key appliances including ovens, hobs, fridge-freezers, and extractors – ensuring they’re powered safely and reliably.
- Lighting upgrades: We swapped out old lighting for energy-efficient LED solutions, balancing practical task lighting with a warm, ambient glow for day-to-day living.
- Ventilation installation: A new extractor fan was installed to support airflow and keep the kitchen safe and comfortable.
- Full certification: All circuits were rigorously tested and certified to NICEIC standards, giving the client total peace of mind.
